Dehumidifiers
Thrifty Air Conditioning and Refrigeration offers The HI-E Dry 195 high
efficiency commercial dehumidifiers. This dehumidifier utilizes refrigeration
to cool the incoming air stream below its dewpoint as it passes through
the dehumidification (evaporator) coil. This cooling results in the removal
of moisture (latent heat) and reduction in temperature (sensible heat).
The cooled and dried air is used to pre-cool the incoming air stream
resulting in up to a 200 percent increase in overall efficiency. After
the pre-cooling stage the processed air is reheated by passing through
the condenser coil. The latent heat removed by the evaporator coil is
returned to the air stream at this stage as sensible heat, resulting
in an overall temperature increase from the incoming air.
We also have avalable The Ultra-Aire APD 150H for residential
use. This unit combines fresh air ventilation, air filtration and high
capacity dehumidification. The best way to combat the problem of humidity
migrating through the roof, walls and floor is to pressurize the building
with dehumidified air. This strategy involves bringing a measured amount
of outdoor air into the structure and dehumidifying it before it enters
the living areas. An equal amount of drier indoor air will escape from
the structure to equalize the pressure. This ventilation strategy, provided
by the Ultra-Aire APD system, prevents humid outdoor air from infiltrating
the structure and offers the ventilation recommended by health experts.
The Ultra-Aire APD has been incorporated into numerous American Lung
Association Health Houses.
